At last I can post on this blog in the wonderfully exuberant way that eightAtwelve had to account for earlier~

Sentrovasi here again, the random-poster-now-with-a-blogger-account, here to talk about class-stuff!

Firstly, a big (and belated) shout-out to the new members of A12: Aran, Eileen, Jasmine Kwok, Karen, Yi Ning and You Wen, as well as a sad (and similarly belated) farewell to Jin Dao, Jing Yu, Yun Feng, Zhen Rui and Zi Ran... good luck in your future endeavours, and don't forget us! (Zi Ran probably won't since he keeps coming to our bench everyday ^-^|).

And a word to the newcomers: please try not to be scared of by the weird antics of some of the people in class (myself included) - it's a style unique to us, I guess... well, that doesn't really make it much more palatable, but there it is. I quite like the diversity, myself.

But that's enough about that, I guess. On to other stuff!

Happy March, everyone! The first day of March is over, and the second now upon us. There're a few things on the agenda, which Boon Yang has already stated before in his previous post. Oh right, being the Literature Rep and all, I might as well post the details for that one event before everyone forgets it.

Singapore Arts Festival
Rhinoceros @theEsplanade
13th June 2008 (Friday)
Starts 8pm (100 minutes w/o intermission)

Our literature tutors are still trying to get subsidies, but the projected cost shouldn't exceed $20.

Anyways, regarding JTS, quite a few of our seniors are starting to get impatient over it. For the uninformed, it's a tradition for there to be a Juniors-Treat-Seniors session as well as a Seniors-Treat-Juniors session once a year: a way, I guess, to get the two classes to bond together. Before JAE, our class was rather short on people (21 : 28 ratio). After JAE... we still are, unfortunately, but I guess that's what we've got to work with. From the preliminary poll I put up, we've got majority setting $30 as their limit, with slightly less putting their wallets out for $40... and one person polling "I'm Selfish". Hopefully that was a rogue voter not from our class, anyway.

On that note, $30 given the ratio we have is $23.50 per senior (assuming everyone chips in every senior goes... oh, and that the price we're willing to fork out doesn't include ourselves). Thus, the place we choose probably has to fall into that budget. Assuming that we pay $30 for seniors and ourselves, then that's $13.20 per person and we will probably have to target something lower.

I'll probably set up another poll later on (or until someone beats me to it) to check what popular sentiment is now; if everyone has violent objections to spending something like $45.50 for a meal (if everyone pays that much, we can treat our seniors and ourselves to a $20 meal), then we'll have to limit our options that way.

Here's something else, though: blog designs! I've nothing on the other members of this class, so here's calling all non-lazy blogskin designers (aspiring or otherwise) to come up with a class blog design that might win us something for the blog contest >:3 I mean, it's not really about the prize than the pride of having a pretty blog, but hey, a little extra cash to fatten the (emaciated) CT fund can't go too far wrong. Besides, our seniors won the second prize last year, so we've got to keep it going.

Also, would those with their birthdays or blogs not listed on the sections to the right please give those details to us so we can actually have a nice and complete thing? Blogs aren't necessary if you're shy and all, but birthdays are necessary for the requisite flagpol... cake-giving. And stuff. If anyone still has their birthdays wrong in the list, please also alert (or change it yourself, if you can access the blog controls).

On a final note, is anyone running for council? I'm not (can't: not with Choir and stuff), but I'll be happy to support anyone from our CT who runs with the stuff I can do (and I'm sure the rest of the CT will be behind you as well). Council's cool videos will probably have done something to impress you (hopefully?), so here's hoping we get some A12 representation =D Registration closes 5th March, so Council Pres, here's looking at you =3

And that's really all I have to say in this (relatively long-winded?) post. Cheers!
