Hello again from the-guy-who-now-has-a-blogger-account-and-can-randomly-post-on-this-blog! Today, I will be talking about how you can increase your profit margins by applying superglue on ducks.
... No, not really. Firstly, though, I'm wondering about how everyone feels regarding this (temporary) appearance of the blog. This is while we wait for the amazingness of some of the other people (names temporarily undisclosed) to put together some nice skin for us to use. Might I commend the person who chose the brown font because brown is my favourite colour?
... But that's just a random tangent. Mainly, I love kids (har har). And that's why one thing we'll probably have to focus on now (besides the blog-thing, which most people will probably be apathetic about...) is the CT Stall thing (again). Let's think back and recognize what did and didn't work for our Chinese New Year carnival, why don't we?
What didn't work:
- Flowers
- Plastic birds
- Priced hugs
- Overly-contested goods
- Food
- Council monopoly
- Nachos (depends on store placing)
Now, applying price elasticity --
is slapped
... Right. Moving on, we had a few ideas from the CNY Carnival that weren't used. These include:
- Drinks
- Fortune-telling
- Hugs
- Ice Cream Floats
- Instant Noodles
- Paper Flowers
Drinks and stuff would probably be very heavily contested in this case, while I'm sure a few of the classes who had success with their Nacho-dip-dispensers will be using those again. What we're left with, then, are stuff like folding origami and stuff. I've an idea that we can make simple balloon animals (might appeal to children) or more complicated ones if we can do it (balloon-twisting crash-course, anyone?). That should be fairly popular among children, if anything.
Setting up a games booth is also plausible, but I'm at a loss as to what kind of games we could have (____ toss seems a bit overdone, in my opinion). If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to throw them at me; at this point, we need to get something done, soyeah. The submission date for the proposal is Tuesday, so we'll have to get something up by then, if nothing else.
Sou!
- Drinks (might be heavily contested)
- Ice Cream (possible logistics issue)
- Balloon Animals (anyone with much experience?)
- Games (bright sparks needed here)
